BOTULINUM TOXIN and FILLER POST TREATMENT CARE:

Do not rub or manipulate the area that has been treated. Any marks or lumps will disappear. Rubbing in the first four hours may make the toxin spread and produce side effects.
its best not to wear make up to the appointment and do not apply make-up for a minimum of 4 hours afterwards.
Avoid taking strenuous exercise, preferably until the following day.
Do not drink alcohol for a minimum of 6 hours. As with exercise this may increase blood flow and 'wash out' the toxin reducing its affect.
Do not lay down on your face for 4 hours after your treatment.
You may apply arnica gel or cream to the area if you get bruising. the commonest place is around the eye, and usually can be covered with make up.

Following filler treatment, there could be some redness, slight swelling or tenderness at the injection sites. Very occasionally bruising may occur and will usually subside within a few days. If however, any type of delayed reaction occurs that you are concerned about, please contact the clinic.
Severe pain during or after treatment is very unusual, but could be because Filler has blocked a small artery. This needs immediate treatment so if severe pain occurs after getting home please contact the clinic.
Do not massage or manipulate the treated area.
As with any treatment that involves needles it is best not to attend with make up, and to avoid make up afterwards for four hours (heavy make up for 24 hrs)
Do not expose the skin to a sunbed or the rays of the sun for at least 6 hours following treatment.
Be aware that Aspirin or any similar medication may increase the risk of bruising and discolouration at the injection site.
If you have any concerns, please call us on 01482 861439. Or 07976376685

DERMAL FILLER POST TREATMENT CARE:

With all treatments at Look Natural Aesthetics, we recommend you avoid applying heavy make-up for at least 24 hours following any procedure.
Always drink plenty of water to remain hydrated and, if you have any localised discomfort, a paracetamol should provide adequate relief, although this is not usually necessary.

If aftercare advice has not been followed appropriately, it is important to contact Dr Gower immediately if the treated area is not healing. In this case Look Natural Aesthetics reserve the right to refuse future treatments. Results are not guaranteed and discounts and free touch ups will not be offered as all treatments have a cost to complete.
FAQS:
DOES BOTULINUM TOXIN HURT?
Botulinum toxin treatment involves a number of injections that will sting even though a very small needle is used and the product stings a little when injected. The more relaxed the client the better the experience. Therefore, it is best to give plenty of time prior to and following the appointment, to avoid feeling rushed and anxious.

Fillers now contain lidocaine (an anaesthetic) to help feel more comfortable during and after the procedure. Many procedures also use a cannula rather than a needle which is less painful. For clients who are particularly nervous and concerned about pain, Dr Gower may apply a numbing agent to the skin first, or, in the case of lip augmentation perform a dental block. This will be discussed in full during the consultation.
