CHEEKS & NASAL LABIALS
From the age of 30, some people start to lose volume in the fat pockets within the face, particularly the cheeks. This can produce a flat appearance under the eyes and the loss of volume tends to allow facial skin to ‘sag’ resulting in pronounced lines from the corner of the nose to the mouth, known as the nasolabial lines.
Meanwhile other areas of the face gain fat, particularly the lower half, creating bagginess around the chin and jowls in the neck. This can result in ‘sad’ or marionette lines which turn downwards from the corner of the mouth.
At Look Natural Aesthetics we use appropriate dermal fillers to remove pronounced lines and to restore lost volume. It is sometimes helpful to bring a photo of a younger you, to demonstrate where volume loss has occurred in your own face.
