Dr Simon Gower
MBBS, BSc, FRCA, FHEA, GMC number 3134111
Consultant Anaesthetist and Specialist in Aesthetic Medicine.

I trained in medicine at Guys Hospital Medical School, and soon after qualifying I decided I wanted to train as an anaesthetist.

Throughout my ten years of additional training to become a consultant, I spent time working in Australia as a flying Doctor, London and Leeds at the paediatric cardiac unit, before settling in Hull as a consultant.

A significant portion of my career has been dedicated to intensive care and cardiac anaesthesia at Castle Hill Hospital. I was also involved in establishing the sedation service at 543 Dental Sedation Centre in Hull where I continue to practice.

Teaching has always been an interest of mine too and I had the opportunity of being a tutor for medical students at the Hull York Medical School for over 10 years.

I have a longstanding interest in promoting wellbeing within the NHS. As the wellbeing lead in the anaesthetic department at Castle Hill Hospital, I actively work towards improving the overall wellness of healthcare professionals.

In 2017 I decided to expand my skillset by training in aesthetics (as an anaesthetist the one thing I am good at is sticking needles in people!). My primary focus has always been to help individuals enhance their confidence and achieve the best version of themselves while maintaining a natural appearance. This philosophy is reflected in the name of our clinic. I do find it incredibly rewarding to help individuals feel better about themselves and boost their confidence.

We were very pleased to be awarded a ‘good’ rating fpr our clinic by the CQC. This also enables us to offer medical aesthetic treatments such as medical botulinum toxin and PDO threadlift.

The lack of regulation within aesthetics is something I feel needs to change. We have a regular stream of clients who come to us having had treatment ‘cheaper’ elsewhere and regret it. Recognising the need for stricter regulation in the aesthetics industry, I have taken proactive steps to address this issue. I am a founding member of a group of local medical aesthetic practitioners ( The Hull and East Yorkshire Medical Aesthetics Group) who advocate good practice and educate the public on ensuring safe and satisfactory treatments.
Zoe Gower
BSc Nursing
Clinic Director

I always wanted to be a nurse as both my Mum and Grandma were nurses at local hospitals. I trained as a staff nurse in 1997 at the University of Hull and since qualifying I have worked in a variety of different clinical areas including the general wards, the community, intensive and coronary care, and the Queens Medical Centre. I reduced my working hours after having our little boy in 2013, and since then I have really enjoyed helping Simon set up our clinic at home and watch it develop.

I’ve learnt a lot about aesthetics over the years, and I wanted to combine my previous nursing experience with aesthetics to offer a complementary dimension to our services. I have since trained in advanced skin care treatments such as skin resurfacing (chemical peels), medical and cosmetic microneedling and advanced cosmo-pharmaceutical grade skin care.

There has been lots to learn but it’s really rewarding seeing how people are happy with their skin transformations and having a boost to their confidence!

Simon and Zoe offer a unique personalised approach to medical aesthetics and advanced skincare at their CQC regulated clinic.

As an NHS Consultant and Aesthetic Specialist, Simon offers bespoke, minimally invasive treatments that prioritise your safety and your desired results.

As a trained nurse Zoe specialises in the care and optimisation of your skin’s health. Together they offer a range of treatments designed to blend perfectly in your personalised treatment plan.

Dr Gower is a founding member of the Hull and East Yorkshire Medical Aesthetic Group.
