Supporting skin regeneration and long-term skin health

Medical microneedling is a clinically proven treatment that supports skin regeneration by stimulating the skin’s natural repair processes. Using ultra-fine, medical-grade needles, controlled micro-channels are created within the skin to encourage collagen and elastin production and improve overall skin quality over time.

At Look Natural Aesthetics, microneedling is performed in our CQC-regulated, doctor-led clinic using a medical-grade microneedling device selected for its precision, safety and consistency. All treatments are tailored following a thorough skin assessment.

A skin-led, staged approach

Microneedling is not always the first step for every skin.

Before treatment, we assess the skin barrier, sensitivity, congestion and overall skin health. In some cases, skin preparation or barrier support may be recommended before microneedling is introduced. This staged approach helps optimise results while minimising unnecessary irritation.

For many clients, microneedling forms part of a broader skin programme, alongside medical skin peels, regenerative treatments and appropriate homecare.

Microneedling of the eye area

In suitable patients, microneedling can also be performed carefully in the peri-orbital (eye) area to help improve fine lines, crepey texture and skin quality.

This is carried out using specific eye protocols, including mesoestetic Global Eyecon, and is always tailored to the delicacy of the area and the individual’s skin tolerance. Not all patients are suitable for eye-area microneedling, and this is assessed during consultation.

Professional microneedling vs at-home devices

At-home microneedling devices use fixed, shallow needles and are unable to safely reach depths required to stimulate meaningful collagen remodelling. Incorrect use may increase the risk of irritation, infection or scarring.

Professional microneedling at our clinic offers:
• Medical-grade, CE-marked equipment
• Adjustable and controlled treatment depths
• Strict clinical hygiene standards
• Personalised protocols and aftercare guidance

Supportive treatment options

In selected cases, microneedling may be supported with additional therapies to optimise skin recovery and regeneration. These options are always optional and discussed during consultation.

Targeted skin support

During microneedling, selected professional serums may be used to support hydration, repair and overall skin function. We work with mesoestetic and Klardie medical serums, chosen for their skin-compatible formulations and ability to support the skin during regenerative treatments.

These serums are selected based on individual skin needs and are used to complement the microneedling process rather than replace the skin’s natural repair response.

Regenerative support

For suitable patients, microneedling may be combined with regenerative therapies such as exosomes. Exosomes are microscopic signalling particles involved in cellular communication and may help support the skin’s repair and recovery processes following treatments that stimulate regeneration.

At Look Natural Aesthetics, exosomes are used selectively and only where clinically appropriate. They are not required for every patient.

LED Light Therapy

LED light therapy may be used following microneedling to help calm the skin, reduce inflammation and support recovery, particularly for sensitive or reactive skin types.

A calm, medical approach

Our focus is on skin health, safety and long-term outcomes, rather than quick fixes. All treatment recommendations are personalised and discussed openly, allowing you to make informed decisions with confidence.

Achieving the best results from microneedling is not determined by a single treatment alone.
Appropriate homecare plays an important role in supporting skin healing, protecting the skin barrier and maintaining results over time. Any skincare recommendations are personalised and discussed as part of your consultation.

Microneedling – Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling is suitable for many skin types, but not everyone is suitable immediately. We always assess your skin barrier, sensitivity and overall skin health first. In some cases, skin preparation or barrier support may be recommended before microneedling is introduced.
Most clients describe microneedling as uncomfortable rather than painful. Sensation varies depending on the area treated and the depth required. We tailor each treatment carefully to ensure it is appropriate for your skin and tolerance.
Temporary redness is expected after microneedling and usually settles within 24–72 hours. Mild sensitivity or tightness may occur during the first few days. Your practitioner will advise you on aftercare and when to resume normal skincare.
Some clients notice early improvements in skin texture and luminosity. However, microneedling works by stimulating the skin’s natural repair processes, and optimal results are usually achieved through a course of treatments, combined with appropriate homecare.
Not always. In some cases, a gentle peel or skin preparation phase may be recommended first to improve skin tolerance and optimise results. This is assessed individually and discussed during consultation.
Yes, microneedling is often part of a broader skin programme. In selected cases, it may be combined with supportive treatments such as targeted serums, LED light therapy or regenerative options like exosomes. These are always optional and recommended only when appropriate.

In suitable patients, microneedling can be performed in the eye area using specific protocols such as mesoestetic Global Eyecon. This is assessed carefully due to the delicacy of the area and is not suitable for everyone.
Homecare is not compulsory. However, appropriate skincare can help support healing, improve tolerance and maintain results between treatments. Any recommendations are discussed during consultation, and you are always free to decide what feels right for you.
Treatment frequency depends on your skin concerns, response and overall treatment plan. This will be discussed during your consultation and adjusted as your skin progresses.
