If you have severe hay fever that doesn’t respond to standard treatments, we offer an alternative: Kenalog injections. These are prescription-only medications used to reduce the body’s allergic response and alleviate inflammation caused by hay fever. 

 

It’s important to be aware that Kenalog is not a cure; it provides symptom relief, usually lasting the hay fever season, but it doesn’t prevent recurrence in future seasons. 

 

Kenalog contains triamcinolone, a corticosteroid that doesn’t cure hay fever but significantly reduces symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes, and congestion for those struggling during allergy season. 

 

Kenalog is suitable for adults with severe hay fever that disrupts daily life and hasn’t responded to over-the-counter antihistamines, nasal sprays, or other conventional treatments. It’s not recommended as a first-line treatment and isn’t suitable for everyone. A consultation with Dr. Gower is required to assess if this treatment is appropriate for you. 

 

The injection costs £75, which includes your consultation and assessment.
